Outside of my day job, I’ve been building something with a mate. SchoolsOut (schoolsout.ae) is a free directory helping Abu Dhabi parents find after-school activities for their kids. You can search and filter by the outcome for the kids (what they’ll gain) as well as location, timing, activity type, etc. We’re live as an MVP (it’s been an interesting time to launch a product in this space!) and trying to grow the directory before the new school year.
Two asks:
- If you know anyone running kids’ activities in Abu Dhabi- sports, arts, music, STEM, anything – please point them our way. Free to list.
- If you’re an Abu Dhabi parent, we’d love to hear your suggestions about great clubs. A like / follow on our socials would be a big help too. 🙂
A big part of why I wanted to do this project was to have the experience of taking a product from ideation through the product development lifecycle – design thinking – agile ways of working – in a startup context and with AI throughout. It’s been a massive learning experience, and I’ve got a couple of articles coming on that.
